What can you download from Snapchat?
Spotlight videos and videos posted publicly. Private Snaps between friends and private Stories can't be downloaded — and shouldn't be, out of respect for people's privacy.
File name
The file is named after the video's caption, so it's easy to find later in your downloads.
💡 Only want the sound? Choose MP3 to get it at 192 kbps.
Common problems and fixes
- Link not supported: make sure you copied the link to the video itself, not to the profile or the home page.
- Video is private or needs a login: we only download public content, so videos from private accounts can't be downloaded.
- Slow download: the time depends on the video's size and your internet speed. Pick a lower quality for a smaller, faster file.
- Daily limit reached: the limit resets every day, and a free account raises it.
